2006 Honda XR650L
Craft brewery owner Kenny Dodd (Over Time Beer Works) from Kimberley, British Columbia reached out to us wanting a stripped down bike with that 'old style appeal', that that he could rip around the forest and mountains, as well as around town. Kimberley is a small, beautiful city, nestled amongst the Rocky Mountains so we naturally gravitated towards a reliable dual sport that could fit the bill on both terrains.
Naturally, we decided to go with the 2006 Honda XR650L. The XR650L has the power, suspension and durability for great dirt road riding, and the electric starter, fuel economy, and light weight make it the perfect commuter for bombing around town. While the name is obviously a slight nod to the owner's hometown (Kimberley), the bike has a lot in common with 90's rap star Lil' Kim – just the right amount of attitude, and stripped down to almost nothing ;).
